We delivered a new custom acrylic aquarium to Elder Ford in  Tampa Elder Ford Tank installedlast week…we are very excited about this new project!  The installation went very well, thanks to the help from the IM Branded team and our new hydraulic lift table!   The dimensions of this aquarium are 96″ long x 24″ wide x 36″ high, putting it right around 300 gallons.  Getting the tank into place was a relative breeze with the lift table…and the four strong dudes helped a little as well.

Hydraulic lift tableThe cabinetry was installed with a 1/4″ clearance on the length & height of the aquarium, so it is a nice snug fit.  That is where the lift table was so helpful.  It allowed us to jack the aquarium up to the exact height of the stand and basically just slide it over into place.  Unfortunately, I did not have the forethought to take a picture of the table in action, but I did have this shot of one of our mascots showing the height capabilities back at our shop.  770 lb and 51″ height capabilities will take care of a large chunk of our installations & moves.

New project, new lift table…

    Looking good,

Is there a sump going underneath? I am currently designing a 300 gallon tank here in the Cook Islands, with approximately the same dimensions, just debating whether to use acrylic or glass. Got any tips?

BTW would you be willing to share some design information, e.g. thickness, bracing, etc? Oh, and did you use any special acrylic?
